Foreign Participants in Cuban Ballet Festival Powered by: "DTCuba", Published: July 12, 2010
According to organizers, dancers from the Royal Ballet of London, Scala de Milan and Argentina's Colón Theater, among others, are expected to participate in the festival.
Participants also include dancers from the American Ballet Theater, where Cuban prima ballerina Alicia Alonso improved her professional training.
On this occasion, the festival will pay tribute to Alicia Alonso, as well as to Russian dancers Galina Ulanova and Vladimir Vasiliev.
The festival will premiere "Death of Narcissus", a choreography by Alicia Alonso based on the poem by Cuban author José Lezama Lima, as well as "Faun" by David Dawson, and "A Rose for Emily" by Agnes de Mille.
